鈥淭he turkey is always one that has been left too long in the freezer for someone which shows how lucky we are鈥 we always have enough food. There鈥檚 a lot of duct tape involved and we roll it across a surgical drape that was left over–expired, just like the turkey,鈥 stated Amy MacKrell, Liberal Arts and Sciences Professor who helps sponsor and work the event each year.

The departments of Physical Therapist Assistant and Liberal Arts and Sciences have been hosting the event for years.
鈥淪ome years it鈥檚 subzero, snowy, raining, but this year, we got lucky,鈥 stated MacKrell standing in the sunshine of an unusually warm fall day.
This year鈥檚 event raised $153.00 and half barrel of food. Donations are still being collected through the end of the week to support DMARC, a health-based food pantry and is the largest food pantry network in Iowa.
