ºìÌÒÊÓƵ student Rasima Rahimic was recently named the recipient of the ROSE Award. Rahimic, who is currently working toward her Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN), also serves as a patient care technician in the orthopedic department of ºìÌÒÊÓƵOne. Rahimic was nominated for her demonstration of ºìÌÒÊÓƵOne’s cultural belief of personalized care.
“Rasima was off at 7 p.m. but stayed to clean/braid my hair and make me comfortable,” one of Rahimic’s patients wrote. “She made my pain go away for a time while she cleaned the blood, grass, and debris from my scalp and hair. I found her to be compassionate and empathetic. She is one of the kindest people I have ever met.”
The ROSE recognition program honors allied health care staff from all non-nursing or physician disciplines who personify the remarkable patient experience ºìÌÒÊÓƵOne strives to achieve for all individuals. ºìÌÒÊÓƵOne ROSE Award winners consistently demonstrate ºìÌÒÊÓƵOne’s cultural belief of “Personalized Care: Your experience. My responsibility.” They are a role model for others living their expertise and compassionate care, and for all those who enter the hospital – patient, family member, or visitor.
