BECOME A CRITICAL CARE PARAMEDIC (CCP)
Students in the Critical Care Paramedic (CCP) program may already be a paramedic, nurse, or respiratory therapist. Through this course, you will become a member of the critical care transport team, conducting advanced critical care to patients during inter-facility transports, performing advanced clinical patient assessments, and providing invasive care beyond the standard scope of advanced pre-hospital care. This course includes classroom and skills lab instruction, as well as a clinical internship. This course meets the requirements for endorsement as an Iowa Critical Care Paramedic.

CCP CLINICAL REQUIREMENTS
The clinical rotations are designed to expose CCP students to the unique care provided to critically ill or injured patients. As a CCP student, you will perform rotations with local aeromedical providers.
You are required to complete the Critical Care Unit rotations to be eligible for Iowa CCP endorsement.
